Modern Web Design & Development introduces students to both the creative and technical aspects of building websites. It begins with the fundamentals of how websites work and gradually progresses into hands-on development using industry-relevant tools and technologies. Students will learn how to structure web pages, apply styling, and create layouts that adapt seamlessly across different devices.
The course emphasizes practical learning by guiding students through real-life projects, allowing them to apply their knowledge in meaningful ways. In addition, students will be introduced to user-friendly platforms such as WordPress, enabling them to build websites efficiently even without advanced coding skills.
By the end of the course, students will have the confidence and ability to design, build, and launch professional websites, opening opportunities for freelance work, business development, or further specialization in web technologies.
What you'll learn in this course?
Students will learn how to design and develop modern, responsive websites from the ground up, even with little or no prior experience. They will understand the foundational structure of the web using HTML, style and layout techniques with CSS, and how to add interactivity using basic JavaScript.
Throughout the course, students will gain hands-on experience building real-world projects such as personal portfolios and business websites. They will also be introduced to content management systems like WordPress, enabling them to create websites without writing extensive code.
In addition, students will learn how websites go live, including domain registration, hosting, and deployment. By the end of the course, they will have the practical skills needed to build, launch, and manage professional websites, either for personal use, freelance work, or business purposes.
